Big transformations in this adventure

Big transformations in this adventure

Today we're returning to a theme, or to be more precise, we're moving on to the next stage. We're now talking about the second month of pregnancy.

More days have passed since we found out about this secret, and we believe that now may be the ideal time to start sharing this great news. However, we believe that parents should tell it when they feel comfortable and ready.

Another month of pregnancy brings new changes and transformations. So we wanted to find out what these changes might be and understand a little more about this month 2 of pregnancy.

As you know, we always do a little research on each topic we cover here on the blog. According to what we've been able to find out, in the second month of pregnancy, the baby is developing quite significantly - we can see that its face is beginning to take shape, with the eyes, ears, nose and mouth appearing, and you'll start to see a small outline of the teeth and its little tongue - can you believe it?

The head is already the most developed part of the body and is capable of doubling in size.

Well, the second month of pregnancy is a real leap in the development and growth of the little one, in every sense. And that's not all. The optic nerves are already able to notice some variations in brightness. Something we didn't know and which we find spectacular is the fact that all the organs are now formed. Some are smaller than others, with the main ones developing more quickly being the brain, digestive tract and lungs. The small heart, which is not so small at this stage, will be substantial in size, which will already be evident from the small lump in the stomach area. The same goes for a very large liver.

We've already realised that there are a lot of variations and it's only natural that the baby's body undergoes a lot of changes. Speaking of transformations, at this stage the spine is forming, we're beginning to see long arms and legs, we can already see elbows and there at the ends of the arms and legs we can see tiny hands and feet with five fingers each. This little human being is developing very quickly, don't you think? Who would have thought that with only two months of pregnancy, the baby's development would be so fast? We can consider month 2 of pregnancy, for now, to be the most transformative.

But when do you start to feel that kick or movement in your tummy? We have to wait, because there may be some involuntary movements, but we have to be patient for that moment to arrive.

We believe that with so many changes, there is a lot of anxiety and curiosity about the first ultrasound scan. Not just to see how our little one is doing, but also to find out how they are doing and whether their growth and development is going well.

Now that we know the baby's condition, we want to understand what might be happening to the mother. We know that it can be a time when there is likely to be some vomiting or nausea, especially in the morning. Therefore, if you have these symptoms, the best option is to consult your doctor. However, some tips, such as avoiding heavy or high-fat foods and snacking between meals during the day, can be noted.

Something that stood out in our research was that in the case of nausea, meals should not be skipped, because if we have to skip breakfast we will have a drop in energy and the sensation of hunger attacks. A fundamental tip will be to eat a balanced, varied diet that touches at least every possible point on the food wheel.

Hydration is key, as water will be an essential component in the mother's blood for what is known as the exchange between placenta and foetus, which ensures that the baby is nourished and fed. It also ensures that the kidneys function properly. Alcoholic and sugary drinks should be removed and caffeine should be limited.

We've reached the end of today's post with a lot of development and growth in the mix. The second month of pregnancy has been a real revolution of exciting news and major developments, as far as the baby and his growth are concerned. What a real adventure, our little one is growing by leaps and bounds and we're only in the second month of this journey that is pregnancy.

What about you? We want to know from you mums out there how you've felt in this second month. Did you feel many differences from the first to the second month of pregnancy? How was the situation at home? We want to know your experience. We want to know your opinion
