When it comes to what goes behind a collection, there are several components. In order to reach the moment of materialisation and realisation, it is necessary to go through several interconnected processes.
These days, we have some idea that a collection that will be the next to become available will begin to be thought out, processed and produced over a period of about a year, more or less. It's impressive to realise that the launch of a collection requires many days and months of preparation and testing, so that everything arrives in the best possible shape and as it was intended to be presented.
Well, today we want to share a little about what the creative process consists of and some of the indicators that make it happen.
In general, the brand already has an identity and some classic items in terms of shape and colour, which end up being something that continues in each collection, with only the composition changing.
However, the main focus of each collection will be to realise what we can bring to the new season we are planning.
Throughout the various creative processes, it was always a priority to bring in patterns and colours that were linked to nature. In addition, the various models that have been developed allow us to adapt or change any details we want to bring to the next collection.
The creative process is highly influenced by several factors:
- The first thing we can highlight is the inspiration we get from research, reading trend books and any ideas that have been left over and that we want to bring to the collection we're thinking of;
- International fairs - although they are places where we present the new collections and are moments of contact with new people or people we already love, we end up bringing with us some ideas, inspirations, interest in some pattern, colour or texture; let's say it's an opportunity to understand what might go better with some ideas we already have or they might be just that different touch we need for the creative process;
- The structure of the collection itself - this characteristic can influence the way we want to present the collection; normally, Wedoble's collections are always made up of themes, which are linked to each other; they tell a story and will each be an important part when we explain the essence of the collection;
- The connection with the brand - this point is essential, as we always want to bring new things with that characteristic touch already known by those who follow us; characteristics such as comfort and safety are something we will always be concerned about in the creative process of any model.
All these indicators are really important. What's more, the creative process is also inspired by the opinions and suggestions we collect and listen to. Whether it's including a new colour, keeping a model that customers really like or introducing a new item to the collections.
In this way, the creative process will be made up of what our inspiration and ideas are and what the customers also want to see. There is a balance here that, for us, is extremely necessary and only makes sense in this way.
In today's post, we wanted to share with you a little about what might be going on behind the creative process that goes into each collection. It's an interesting process to follow, to go through the various stages and to see them live and in colour makes us very happy, fulfilled and with a sense of accomplishment.
Our aim will always be to innovate, but never leave our essence behind and continue to provide you with different, natural, comfortable and safe collections.
What about you? Let us know in the comments what your favourite pieces are. We want to know about your experience with Wedoble. And of course, we want to know your opinion.
