How global warming could bring a change in fashion

How global warming could bring a change in fashion

One of the main objectives of creating our blog was to provide a space for us to talk about issues such as motherhood, baby care and other topics of extreme concern, one of which is sustainability.

Today's publication is associated with a theme that has been constantly emerging over the last few decades - global warming. Its influence on the various sectors of our society has been growing and has become an obstacle to what could be the possible development of each area.

When we talk about this issue in the fashion industry, its consequences become clear. Nowadays, the seasons are beginning to have less influence on the way we dress, in the sense that temperatures and weather conditions are beginning to vary considerably and there may be cases where in winter we wear a cooler outfit and in summer we have to use a warmer jumper. Well, you start not knowing what to wear. Temperatures that would be "normal" in spring or summer can sometimes be seen in autumn or vice versa. Something you wouldn't have seen in previous decades. We are starting to live in a world that is constantly changing due to problems such as global warming.

It's a problem that influences our way of being and living and, as a result, changes every area where human beings put their hands. This type of problem needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.

We're bringing up this topic today because the fashion industry is starting to worry about what is produced and idealised for a collection. In this sense, several brands are beginning to struggle to understand how they are going to include winter clothes in a season that may be cold, but may have unusual twists - a few days with higher temperatures, in which the clothes for that season are not bought, sold or worn.

In this way, we can consider that the fashion industry is beginning to be limited by these kinds of events, which could become a regular thing. From what we can read in some articles, brands are starting to have their own strategies to try to solve this problem - one of them will be to focus on what is practical and able to protect, leaving the "sense of style" aside. It's a strategy that has been thought out and implemented by clothing brands.

This theme and this strategy reminded us of a technique that is often used, which we can call "dressing in layers". It's a way of dressing that never compromises when we decide to leave the house to go to work, to have an appointment or to go for a walk. Basically, we're prepared for any type of temperature - if we're warm we take our jacket off, if we're cold we put it back on, simple.

With these characteristics, we can say that Wedoble's clothes make it possible for children to dress in the same style and be prepared for any type of temperature. What's more, you know that from day one Wedoble has been environmentally friendly and always wants to add new practices to the work it does every day.

The clothes we create and produce are made from natural and organic materials and we always offer a wide variety of models. This, combined with the fact that we create collections with a considerable number of combinations between garments, means that those who wear our clothes can make many combinations. This brings us back to our starting point: we can use a way of dressing our children in layers - trousers/shorts, a blouse/shirt, a jacket, whether or not to put on socks and finally a hat or a bonnet - depending on the temperature outside. The fact is that they are always well dressed, as comfortable as possible and protected.

Wedoble is concerned about the comfort and well-being of every child and baby. Linking this issue, which is so important to debate and which should result in concrete measures to be taken as soon as possible, with what our brand has been working on, seemed like the perfect combination.

What we can take away from today's post is that times are changing, mentalities are changing and the way we look at the future is increasingly subject to last-minute changes. Just like the way we think about the clothes we're going to wear the next day and choose for our children - if this is not the right one, we can always remove or add a jacket.

What about you? How has your experience been with the sudden changes of the weather? What about your children's choice of clothes? We want to know your opinion on this extremely important subject, which is unfortunately a frequent reality these days.
