The constant turbulence over what is sold

The constant turbulence over what is sold

When we create a brand, do we want to sell what will be the style and image of our brand, or do we want to sell what we know is "sure" to sell?

Creating a brand is something that goes beyond the clothes we produce, it's about something personal that we want to present and that makes us "special" within the market we're in. In addition, we can add the fact that nowadays it is extremely important and a big factor to understand the people who consume our product

Firstly, betting on winning pieces can be beneficial, but it can also not be. That's why fashion brands are always looking for a balance between creativity and commerciality. One example we can see: making certain old ideas that didn't work out more commercially viable. In this sense, the aim is always to guarantee a personalised and clear vision of a brand for those who sometimes have trouble understanding it. Balance is necessary.

Bringing this perspective, in our case, is crucial. With our collections, we want to offer new models and different colours, but comfort has to be a constant. In addition, we want to make certain ideas more viable and that can work better commercially.

From the beginning of Wedoble's creation, we had in mind a brand that would provide comfort for the children who wear it. Knitwear is our signature. From then on, it was our intention to use our speciality in most of our clothes. Everything that came after would be a complement to our main ingredient. Being recognised for this work so far has been extremely challenging, because even in knitwear you have to keep an eye on what's new.

In addition to all these aspects that we feel are important to highlight, realising what would be good sellers and what wouldn't required research and study. At the moment, we know what our best sellers will be and what, for certain reasons, won't be so likely to sell (but we've already had some good surprises!).

We think that what will sell or not depends on how we present ourselves. Creativity and community are two important components that are linked to each other. There are times when we need to be more focused on the business and at other times on creativity and what we can do new. However, sometimes when the business isn't going the way we want it to, creativity will also suffer, as we don't have as many resources to put into practice what we want to do.

Well, to combat this problem, many brands are starting to invest in new ways of sharing and promoting their collections. Whether through pop-ups or events. With the pandemic, we've started to relativise the way we show our collections. Everything has become easier with the use of technology, which allows you to see an entire collection from a particular brand at the click of a mouse.

Like all brands, Wedoble has felt this change. We continue to take part in trade fairs - a great context for us to demonstrate what we have prepared for the season to our sellers and customers. However, we consider it essential, throughout the period in which the collection is available (and beyond), to constantly share it on our social networks and, in this way, stay in touch with our community. This way, we can ensure constant contact, see how we are developing and also understand what we can bring back next season.

In addition, the creation of our website was important and is considered our business card, where our collection is available and for sale and where you can get to know us better. Here's the link to see the latest news and our collection - https://www.wedoble.com/en/

Our spirit is all about connecting with our community, adding something new to what we create and to our content. All of this is related to the brand.

We believe that we always have something to say and sharing it with our community is even better!
