The little heroes

The little heroes

Another day, another post and this time we're returning to a subject that means a lot to us - prematurity.

A premature baby is extremely delicate, fragile and needs certain care that will be crucial for their day-to-day life and their future. Everything from food care, the products used to care for the baby's skin and even the clothes worn by the baby can be important factors to take into consideration. We parents want to be informed and aware of the various actions and decisions we can take.

All tips and practices are welcome, because we're all in it together for our little heroes!

Today we want to look a little deeper into this subject, with this publication focusing on the materials and techniques we use in our collections, which are particular and essential to take into consideration when we produce a garment that will be worn by the baby and will be in contact with the skin of our little ones. Today, we're talking in particular about premature babies and the raw materials and accessories we use in our themes.

Prematurity is a cause that touches us deeply and, here at Wedoble, we are totally committed to offering our support.

Did you know that 1 in 10 babies worldwide is born prematurely? So what is our role in the struggle against prematurity? In each collection, we develop a special theme and create pieces knitted in organic cotton, without seams, designed to fit premature babies (44 cm) perfectly up to 24 months, always with comfort and design in mind.

It became obvious and important to introduce a theme dedicated to the little heroes, because of the care it requires and the concern to include all ages, from day one onwards, which requires a lot of attention on our part to every detail of a shirt, bodysuit or jacket. The aim is always to provide comfort and safety for our little ones, from prematurity to 4 years of age.

Prematurity. A subject that means a lot to us ♡

Organic cotton is a raw material that comes entirely and exclusively from controlled organic farming with the aim of reducing the environmental impact on soils and humans caused by conventional production. This raw material is certified (GOTS) by independent organisations following a set of rules that affect the entire process of growing, harvesting, producing and processing the cotton. Grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or any other type of chemical fertiliser, this natural fibre is simply the best for the environment and your health.

The choice of our accessories also respects the ecological standards defined within the framework of the certifications applied to each material: the buttons and woven labels used respect the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD, which means they have been tested for the presence of harmful substances and are harmless in ecological and human terms. Products labelled STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® are synonymous with trust.

You can find these items in our online shop, in the "Mini babies" section - https://www.wedoble.com/pt/mini-bebes_270-274.html.

But for us, it's not just about clothes, we're committed to providing comfort, hope and support to these little warriors and their families. Together, we are rewriting their stories with love and care. We want Wedoble to be synonymous with reliability for mums and dads, and for your little one to be surrounded by comfort, security and happiness.

Take a look back at our participation on this topic last February on Porto Canal's Filhos e Cadilhos programme https://www.instagram.com/p/C5N01sML7fz/?img_index=1.

We will continue to raise awareness and support for prematurity, because every baby deserves a fair chance. We want to see your little heroes happy.

What about you? Did you already know about this theme dedicated to prematurity? Parents out there, what has your experience been like and what kind of care have you taken for your babies? We want to hear about your experience with our clothes for premature babies. We want to know your opinion
