Be certified

From the outset, we have worked with the aim of preserving and respecting our planet. As a brand, when we talk about ethics and sustainability, we know what we want for our planet, we make better use of our resources, we produce less and better.

Nowadays, sustainability is something that brands want to include in their image, whether it's in the materials they use or the way a certain product is created and produced. It's something that is (or is beginning to be) part of a brand's identity.

It's natural to think about this. Being sustainable is a label that many brands want to acquire. To achieve this, there is work to be done, in the sense that agreements and commitments to certain standards and protocols are required. Not to mention constantly adapting to the various changes that arise in this area. It's a real situation in our case, as a brand that owns its own factory.

Nowadays, it is mandatory to have labour-related standards and protocols, techniques and working methods in place. The sustainable sphere is extremely important because it adds value and is a positive step for the future of the environment and for what may become the way we produce our garments.

From an early stage, the sustainable sphere has always been a priority in our factory and this has influenced all the work we do, as well as the work we do with Wedoble. With this approach, we want to emphasise two important points that make us a sustainable brand: the material we work with and the techniques. It's the perfect combination and the result can be seen in the collections we create. A good example we can show are the organic cotton capsules, in which each garment is made up of only organic cotton and are produced in Wholegarment - a complete garment without seams, which provides greater comfort for the baby.

These processes mean that we work every day to think and produce in a sustainable way. As such, with sustainable work comes the various certificates that allow us to ensure and identify the way we work.

In this way, being a certified production space guarantees our quality and recognises our work. Certifications with standards such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®️ are some of the main ones we have. In addition, we are members of initiatives such as: BCI - Better Cotton Initiative - a programme that aims to improve livelihoods and economic development in cotton-growing areas and reduce the environmental impact of cotton; we are SEDEX audited (SMETA) members in responsible supply chain activities, including labour rights, health and safety, the environment and business ethics.

In addition, innovation and commitment to quality in production services are equally important. Amongst many, we have certificates such as the Research, Development and Innovation Management System certification - NP 4457:2007 - Implemented in the research, development and innovation of technical textile clothing and textile products for application in architecture and engineering.

We thought it would be good to talk a little today about the importance of having a certified space, in our case in areas such as sustainability and innovation, as something that recognises our work and also our constant desire to be better, as a company and for our consumers who use and seek a responsible service.

Through Wedoble, we also like to convey this idea of the responsibility we should have for our planet and for all the work we do. Our pieces are produced in a conscious, innovative way and are always designed for a better future.
