As Christmas gets closer, it's impossible not to think about children and how happy they are at this time of year. Even we like this time of year - the spirit, the whole atmosphere that begins on the first day of December and all the meaning that these days have when we think of our family and the good times we'll have and remember later.
Christmas is a truly inspiring time full of magic. Yes, the magic that we (parents) create so that everything works out and our little ones have the best Christmas ever.
As well as all this natural and Christmas magic, we want the children to start getting into the rhythm of these days. To do this, we have to come up with ideas that can be creative and that, essentially, capture the attention of the little ones.
Well, we know that we don't always have ideas popping into our heads quickly and immediately, so today we wanted to give you a helping hand. In today's post, we thought it would be fun to leave some suggestions for interesting and dynamic activities for parents to do with their little ones.
At Wedoble we love Christmas and so it would make perfect sense to come and share some ideas with you. Today we're talking about an activity that would be perfect for you to do at home, whether in your bedroom, living room or even in the garden. We're talking about an afternoon of cinema.
We think we can all agree that Christmas films are always a good idea. Whether it's those films that are coming out and we can take the kids to the cinema to see the premiere, or even one of those classic films that, no matter how many times we've seen it, we never get tired of and, for the kids, it will always be something new.
We can choose an animated film in which we can introduce some mythical character from our childhood into the fantasy universe of our little ones and, with that, they will gain another character that they will always remember. We could be talking about the famous green creature ‘Grinch’ who doesn't like Christmas at all, but deep down he knows better.
On the other hand, the “classic of classics” Christmas films are probably some of the most popular and watched at this time of year - and it always feels good to watch them again. Films like ‘Home Alone’ or even ‘A Christmas Carol’ come to mind. It will be a great opportunity for parents to show these films that were and still are so special to them, and they want their children to feel the same way and continue this magical tradition.
These cinema sessions can be created using a cosy Christmas setting. We suggest adding some blankets, cosy pillows and lights to set the mood, like Christmas tree lights. To complement this, we can make some popcorn and the children's favourite biscuits, so they can eat them whenever they feel like it. We're sure they'll love it and want to do it again!
This year, we're giving you this Christmas activity suggestion, which we think is great and will certainly make for a good time. In addition, Christmas films always have a positive message, which makes us reflect on the season, highlighting the feeling of mutual help, solidarity and love. We believe that films convey these important values to children and are therefore a great way to encourage them to implement them in their daily lives and raise their awareness.
Christmas is a special time and that means no one should be left out.
What about you? Did you like this little serie of ideas for Christmas activities? Do you ever do Christmas activities with your little ones? We want to know your experience. We want to know your opinion.
