Lights, camera and smiles

Lights, camera and smiles

Today's post is dedicated to that time when we make it a reality (or at least make it even more real) to wear our pieces from the new collections we create every year. It's the moment when they have been produced and can be worn and photographed so that we can share everything with those who follow us and those who are new here. Is our catalogue

The process has a few steps, so let's get started. We have a collection thought out. It's starting to be produced. We already have the first clothes. We can do our shoot for the future catalogue. Okay, what we need to do - select a location, cast our models, think about the outfits we're going to put on and also contact our marvellous photography and video team. There's a process here, which starts with selecting the space that we consider to be the most appropriate for the collection we're going to photograph, continues with all the logistics already mentioned and ends with realising the care we should take and which is most appropriate for everyone involved in these shoot days.

Everything is planned down to the last detail. But sometimes what's planned may not go as we'd idealised. That's normal! If you think about the various factors, they can be different - the weather may not be ideal for photographing, it may be too hot or too cold; the children themselves may feel uncomfortable; the planned clothing sizes may not be right after all. So many things.

Of course, there are some aspects that we can control as far as possible. We're always on the lookout so that we can anticipate any problems - clothing sizes, footwear and accessories.

Two factors we've had over time are a few surprises and constantly learning from the various situations we've overcome, which is perfectly natural because we're talking about doing a catalogue shoot with children.

They're unpredictable, each one has their own personality and saying ‘smile’ sometimes doesn't get the same reaction from the other side. Some are more at ease in front of the camera, others need to find solutions to make them feel at ease and calm so that we can take some pictures.

However, when you think about the result of the photographs and how genuine and beautiful they are, it's all worth it. It's a great privilege and with great satisfaction that we do these sessions, even if there have been a few obstacles.

Something we want to emphasise when we do these sessions is the sense of help and affection we see between the children, whether they are strangers, friends or even siblings. We think it also demonstrates what the brand's message is, as well as how natural we want everything to be, because we think that's the only way to make a difference.

Certain aspects that we notice, such as the complicity between parents and children and sometimes the evolution of some children from one year to the next, always leave us surprised and touched. The icing on the cake is that we have the opportunity to follow the growth and development of these children and bring more and more characters into the Wedoble story.

We've had a lot of funny stories and a lot of laughs over the years doing these sessions. We've thought up various situations and certain secrets that are included in various photographs, which makes all this work truly rewarding and very enjoyable.

Working with children is a challenge, but it's something that leaves you smiling from ear to ear. In addition, the children's families have been extraordinary and very receptive to this experience. For some it may already be the second time, but for others it's the first time. We would like to thank you all for contributing to and adding colour to our catalogue and for being part of Wedoble's story.

After all, children are the best thing about Wedoble and the whole world. Seeing how happy they are means that everything is fine.

Today, we wanted to share with you this experience that is part of our work every year. For future collaborations, we'll always have castings available, which we'll do in September and April (approximately) for each catalogue. However, it will be a matter of keeping an eye on our social networks, where we will always be updating and sharing all the necessary information.

What about you? Do we have any parents out there whose little ones have already participated in our catalogue sessions? If so, we want to know about your experience. We want to know your opinion
