The beginning of 2025 means only one thing - international trade fairs. January and February are two intense and truly important months for us to be able to present the new collection that will arrive in autumn/winter 2025.
This season, we can say that we'll be at not two, but three international fairs. We think it's very important to be at yet another fair and to bring Wedoble and its collection to the other side of the world. We'll be at the PlayTime fair in New York and we can't wait to tell you all about our experience in the city that never sleeps (ps: we'll have a post with all the details).
Putting this news aside for a moment, we want to start today's post with the first city we've been to - Florence, Italy. It's always our first stop, in a country that means a lot to us and at a fair where we have the opportunity to meet people we collaborate with and bring new contacts to work with in the future.
Pitti Bimbo took place on 22nd and 23rd January in the beautiful city of Florence.
Another edition of this fair that we consider to be an obligatory stop, to contact and meet up with people we know, to present the new collection to potential new clients and, above all, to have the opportunity to establish and exchange ideas about the collection and future projects we are planning. These are undoubtedly very intense days, but they are worth it for the ideas we bring back and can put into practice in the next collections and in the general context of the brand.
To better understand how these days went, we always ask our Brand Manager to tell us how it went, what the expectations are for this edition and to explain a little about the collection we've brought to this winter season of international fairs.
It was another very dynamic edition of the fair, with the possibility of creating new contacts. This time we had two days of the fair, which made for a more concentrated flow during the fair. As this is the first time we've exhibited the new collection, we've also had the chance to get the first reactions from various customers and new people. Changes to some aspects or the addition of new colours and sizes to certain items were taken into account, as well as the various opinions and feedback we received over the two days.
For this autumn/winter 2025 collection, we feel we've brought a lot of new things. In terms of patterns and textures, we have some familiar ones and some very different ones. In addition, we can say that we are bringing a different structure in terms of sizes, so that certain themes in the collection will have a different size grid, some smaller and others larger. The sizes are going to be more inclusive, in other words, with the introduction of our KID line in the autumn/winter 2024 collection, we felt it was necessary for these sizes to be incorporated into the collection, so that we could bring more variety and bring something that many people were asking for, more sizes included. As far as colours are concerned, a variety of warm, comfortable tones typical of colder weather predominate, always with the play of combinations between pieces very present.
Oh, and we couldn't leave this little piece of news here and not tell you the name of the collection, it's called Winter Stories.
We think we've made a good start to the winter season of the 2025 international fairs. For our part, we can only say thank you to Florence for always bringing us good memories and ideas to put into practice in future collections and projects.
We left Florence with our hearts full and travelled on to the French capital for Playtime. We'll tell you all about it in our next publication on international trade fairs. See you there?
