Wedoble's multi-sensory experience

Wedoble's multi-sensory experience

Today we want to talk about something a little different from the topics we usually cover and which has captured our attention in recent months.

These days, the process of communicating a brand's products goes beyond talking about the shirt or shorts we want to share. We want to convey an idea, a feeling. As this is our main way of communicating our products, we wanted to learn more about this concept and understand the extent to which Wedoble can be associated with this form of sharing.

The best ways to trigger interest or even stimulate human beings is through their five senses: sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch. These senses are factors that trigger the generation of memories and emotions. One of the main indicators is food, which, being associated with various experiences and associations, will be a candidate for promoting this effect that we are addressing in today's post.

Food can trigger the feeling of nostalgia, where we associate a certain food with a happy moment, which generates this emotional connection with the brand. The feeling of comfort is also included in this theme, since obtaining a certain product can convey the idea of cosiness and satisfaction. Visual and textual cues can play a predominant role when it comes to how food can appeal to human beings. Memory is a major aspect to be developed here, as the multi-sensory experience of food and product images can capture people's attention and become something that is later remembered.

Today, many brands are taking this step, particularly cosmetics brands. However, it's an idea that we're already beginning to see in several brands in the fashion industry. Associating food with clothes is perfectly possible, and we can already see the results and the different sensations they create.

The tactile aspect of food can bring a new experience to the way we approach clothing. As well as bringing us a certain sensation, it brings with it a new creative identity, in the sense that it allows a brand to appropriate the image of food and make it the main idea for a particular product.

Well, after so much explanation, we wanted to understand how Wedoble can be related to this theme that we wanted to share and address on the blog today.

Throughout the creation of our catalogues, we can say that food is something that comes up regularly in the way we want to share our new collections with you. Be it a Christmas campaign, where we thought it made perfect sense to do it in a family context and prepare something typical of the Christmas season - some delicious biscuits. The same can be said for the new spring/summer 2025 collection, with its lemon pattern, where it made perfect sense for us to capitalise on this image that relates to comfort and joy on both sides, the fruit and the models with the pattern. The lemon is a symbol of freshness on a hot summer's day. We can associate this idea with the items in which this pattern is included, such as jumpers, dresses or even blouses, which are perfect for this time of year. To make it even more multi-sensory, having children playing with the lemons brings to mind moments of play and joy that we remember from when we were younger and that we want to give to our little ones. What's more, the colours of the photographs, the location and the key element - the lemon - are all trigger all these sensations.

We believe that this relationship with food that we have introduced into our catalogues brings a relatable and accessible value, in the sense that we can convey the perfect sensations that people, and in this case children, can feel when they use our items.

We've heard so much about this new ‘trend’ that we wanted to find out to what extent Wedoble was already part of it. In a more or less specific way, we think we already had this idea a few catalogues ago, but it's only in the last few campaigns that food and eating have featured a little more prominently. We can admit here that it's always fun to see children touching a piece of fruit for the first time and realising its texture, the photographs look beautiful and we've really enjoyed the end result. We'll certainly be taking this idea with us to future catalogues.

In the meantime, while we wait for the next news, you know you can see everything on our website  https://www.wedoble.com/en/

What about you? Have you noticed this new trend that the fashion world is increasingly taking up? We want to know what you think about our latest session and to understand if, on that side, you've managed to feel all those feelings we've been describing here today, or at least if we've managed to convey the idea
